The NMHHC consists of non-circulating materials, which document historical health and medical practices in the states of New Mexico. It includes oral histories, rare books, photographs, artifacts, and a New Mexico/Southwest monograph collection. Materials are available for use only in the New Mexico Health Historical Collection Room #223 of the Library and Informatics Center. The access to NMHHC Room is by appointment.
This service is available to all library patrons. Please check the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center catalog to confirm item location before submitting a request. Please read the "Procedures for Using New Mexico Health Historical Collection Materials"(PDF).

You may request materials in the Health Historical Collection Alphabetical and Subject Guides with the following designations:
DC (document case)
A maximum of 5 books per person will be retrieved from offsite storage per day.
A maximum of 4 boxes per person will be retrieved from offsite storage per day.
