Library Compiles Subject Guide for Alcohol Awareness Month

April 10, 2017

April is Alcohol Awareness Month. This month’s observances subject guide from HSLIC includes helpful videos, tools, kits, lists of state and local treatment centers and other resources on this topic.

Each April since 1987, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) has sponsored Alcohol Awareness Month to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues. Using this year’s theme, “Connecting the Dots: Opportunities for Recovery,” local, state and national organizations are hosting events aimed at educating people about the treatment and prevention of alcoholism.

This subject guide also lists many other health and wellness topics for which April is the annual awareness month.
