Consultations/Training Sessions for HSLIC Resources & Tools

HSLIC faculty or staff schedule classes for groups or meet with individuals to provide training and information on the use of library resources and tools.

We will schedule consultations and training sessions in accordance with your requirements and HSLIC personnel availability.

What We Do

Upon your request, we will schedule a session with appropriate HSLIC faculty or staff. Initial planning ensures that the session is adapted to your needs or your group's needs.

Library and Education Services - Sessions on print and electronic resources, copyright, e-scholarship, literature searching, resource selection and acquisition, and information needs assessment

Distance Services – Sessions on HSLIC and/or National Library of Medicine resources for most non-UNM groups

Health Historical Collections - Sessions on the use of special collections

Technology Support (TECHS) - Sessions on web authoring, Outlook, SharePoint and other technology topics (visit Learning Central to register)

The sessions can be didactic or hands-on and can be held in a computer classroom (for groups) or in a HSLIC office or the user's office (for individuals). It can be provided to non-UNM users as appropriate.

Why Do I Want It?

We will customize the sessions to fit your needs or your group's needs. We share our expertise with those at UNM and in the wider community.

Who Is This For?

UNM faculty, staff, students and non-UNM individuals or groups

Non-UNM individuals need to come to campus to train on and use licensed resources.

How Do I Get It?

HSLIC can provide this service one-on-one in a HSLIC office or in your office; we can hold group presentations in a computer classroom or other classroom.
