HSC Technology Support provides support for core services to all Health Science Center (HSC) faculty and staff for standard HSC-owned and -operated workstations. These services may not apply to non-standard workstations or departments with independent technical staff that do not adhere to the HSC Technology Support standards as established by the Knowledge Management Information Technology (KMIT) committee.
There are no service outages at this time.
The University of New Mexico’s Voice mail system will be upgraded Friday, May 29. The system will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. All messages, greetings and security codes will be migrated to the new system so users will not need to reset their mailboxes. The telephone user interface (TUI) will remain the same. The new voice mail system replaces an end-of-life system and includes enhancements such as the ability to listen to messages using a web browser. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Margaret Krawic, Technical Support Analyst III, at (505)277-6750 or email@example.com.
On Sunday, May 31st UNM IT on main campus will be performing maintenance that will affect email delivery at the HSC. Users should expect a 20 minute delay in receiving email from external entities sometime between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. While most mail delivery will just be delayed, messages sent during this 20 minute period from some older email systems and a few national providers (e.g., AOL and Comcast) will fail to deliver. Persons sending messages from these systems will get a notice that the message was undeliverable. This outage will not impact your ability to send messages. It will also not impact messages sent between HSC users.
